What is Nicky Velours? It is widely used in Europe being such a wonderfully fun and versatile fabric. Nicky is made in a similar way to familiar jersey knit fabrics but knitted with larger loops. These loops are then shaved off giving the fabric a soft, fuzzy feel. It is similar in feel to minky but with 2 distinct difference; it's stretchy making it perfect for clothing, and it's predominately made of cotton and not polyester.
